1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Glimmo mobile application (“Glimmo”, the “App”) and the website glimmo.io (together, the “Services”), operated by Zen AI Lab Ltd (“Zen AI Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading, installing, or using Glimmo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.
2. Description of the Service
Glimmo is a next-gen journal app designed to help you capture the glimmer in every moment. The App includes features such as:
- Interactive Journal — write entries and receive responses from AI companions you can customize
- Emoji Life Jar — AI transforms your entries into emojis collected in a visual life jar
- Automatic Mood Tracker — emotion analysis and an emotion calendar based on your writing
- Personal Collection — a virtual space for your cherished treasures and memories
- Daily prompts, templates, photo album, iCloud sync, and app lock
We may add, change, or remove features at any time as we continue to improve the App.
3. License and Acceptable Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Glimmo for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You agree that you will not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Services or their security features
- Use the Services to generate or distribute harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of the journal entries, photos, and other content you create in Glimmo (“Your Content”). Your Content is stored on your device by default. We do not have access to your journal entries or any other content you create in the App.
If you enable iCloud sync, Your Content is synchronized across your devices through your personal iCloud account, subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
You are responsible for Your Content and for maintaining backups of data that is important to you.
5. AI Features Disclaimer
Glimmo uses artificial intelligence to power features such as AI companion responses, emoji generation, and mood analysis. AI-generated content is provided for reflection, inspiration, and entertainment purposes only.
AI responses are not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice. Glimmo is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or unexpected. You should use your own judgment when relying on any AI-generated output.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Glimmo offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, Glimmo Premium, which unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store account using Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings at any time
- Prices may change; any change will apply to subsequent billing periods after notice
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies
Promo codes may be offered from time to time. Promo codes are tied to subscription products through Apple’s official promo code system; you will not be charged until any free period ends. If you do not wish to continue with Glimmo Premium after a promotional offer, remember to cancel your subscription before the free period ends. See our step-by-step redeem guide.
7. Intellectual Property
All software, design, branding, logos, and content provided by us as part of the Services (excluding Your Content) are and remain the property of Zen AI Lab Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Glimmo name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the App from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that is abusive, unlawful, or harmful to other users or to us.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Zen AI Lab Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
